Every now and then I will upload a review blog.

I'm the type of person who has multiple books on the go at once. Normally a couple on my Kindle, a couple of books about the craft of writing, a few more about living better, or growing as a human being and then those books I want to read because they have been recommended. Those books that have left their mark on somebody. This is a place where I will review that type of book. I will not be giving you a run-down of the plot – I am a firm believer that if you want that kind of info you can read the jacket; read one of the other hundred reviews; or heaven forbid, simply read the book.

These reviews will be more about magic. The essence of the book that makes you sit back and wonder, or change your perspective, or live differently. The thing that makes you plastic wrap that baby and keep it on your bookshelf, and buy another copy that you can lend out so your fav can stay on the shelf (crazy right!). I want to read these books because I want to write these books.

Ask any of my beta readers – I love it when you cry. I love it when you get mad, or sad or laugh out loud because it means you are invested in the world I have created, in the wonderful characters I have woven myself into. This is what I look for in a book – I want to be drawn in, I want to think about the story when I am not reading, and dagnabit, I want to grieve a loss when the story ends, as much as I hate it. I want to hold a book in my hand, raise it in the air and announce to the world ‘you have to read this!’

And hope my books will impact people’s lives in that way.
